Greg Klingaman is the Global Reserve Retail Director at Diageo, where direct-to-consumer retail and brand home development is part of an evolving experiential marketing strategy. Since joining Diageo two years ago, Greg and his team have developed the concept, consumer USPs, business model, and execution plans for Diageo’s first Johnnie Walker flagship store which opened in Madrid in November 2018. Additionally, he is responsible for the strategy, concept development and delivery of Diageo’s £150 million investment in Scotch whisky tourism throughout Scotland, which includes plans for a new state-of-the-art Johnnie Walker visitor experience in Edinburgh.
Greg joined Diageo from the fashion retail industry where he was most recently the EMEA Head of Retail Operations and Franchise for PVH – the parent company of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. Greg has also worked in various operations leadership and strategy roles for leading US retailers.
Greg is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (Major in Economics, 1992) and earned an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School (Concentration in Marketing, 2001).
